A Vibrant community of over 60s
Walk through the gates of Chaplin Close in Lambeth, London, and you’ll find yourself in a beautiful haven of peace and tranquillity. On a warm summer’s evening you might find the residents sitting around chatting. On a fresh spring morning you’ll probably come across some young volunteers planting new flowers in the colourful garden. If it’s a Tuesday afternoon you’ll undoubtedly hear the sounds of laughter and lively chatter coming from the residents’ weekly tea party.
Chaplin Close is a small sheltered housing community for the over 60s, just a short stroll from Waterloo Station in the heart of London. The Chaplin close Tenants' Association ensures that everyone who lives here has a voice and can get involved to whatever degree they choose.
We are always looking for new volunteers to help us with our activities. This includes helping us with our award winning garden or lending a hand with the large amount of admin our Tennats' Association requires
We also have a versitile community hall for hire. Our hall is fully equiped for meetings and seminars as well as classes and lectures. More . . .
